South Sudan Foreign Minister Ramadan Abdallah Goc received the new Ambassador of Republic of Sudan on Wednesday as they discussed about the issues such as strengthening the deep-rooted relations between the two neighboring countries and strengthening relations between the two ministries, Ambassador Essam Al-Din declared his intention to meet President Salva Kiir.
The new Ambassador was appointed by The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council of Sudan, Gen. Abdel Fattah Burhan, The new Ambassador to South Sudan will present true copies of his credentials to the President of Republic of South Sudan Salva Kiir in the up coming days.
The Consul General of Sudan in Juba also attended the meeting with the Sudanese diplomatic missions in South Sudan, “That the ambassador will present his credentials to the President of the Republic, which will be determined later after coordination with the relevant authorities,” he stated.
Mr Essam Al-Din will replace Amb. Jamal Abdul Majeed who served as the ambassador of South Sudan since july 2022, Ambassador Essam Al-Din expressed his gratitude to the government and people of South Sudan for their good cooperation in facilitating the procedures for Sudanese citizens to enter South Sudan after the ongoing war in Sudan since April 2023.
“They also focused on the conditions of the Sudanese community in Juba in terms of regularizing their status, as well as strengthening relations in the political, economic, and cultural fields,” he added.
