Tanzania is close to entering the global market for mango pulp powder, as a matter of fact, lab tests are being conducted and sample products are being developed.
The project named “Best Retail Supply Chain in Conversion” that is being led by key suppliers from Arusha, Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro, and Mtwara, is expected to be a great success and very soon will be running exports to international destinations when it meets export standards.
At the same time, the new partnership between Tanzania and India is expected to highly benefit the young people in Arusha, especially those participants in the hospitality and catering business.
The High Commission of India has stated that it is planning to empower young people from Tanzania to learn in India and also to get specialization in their respective culinary fields.
Tanzania is determined to open its wings and join the world in terms of creating professional opportunities to enrich her people. Indian support to enabling Tanzanian chefs to be more knowledgeable of Indian culinary arts will make Arusha attractive to more Indian tourists and will give those who come a chance of tasting their traditional food.
The news was revealed by Arusha Regional Commissioner Paul Makonda to a press conference on the occasion of President Samia’s four years in office.
He said that he was very thankful to the Indians for their support if not for them, they could not have accomplished this. On a different note, he said that such relationships not only add value to Tanzania’s connectivity to the world but also give way for economic and educational development that will eventually touch her people.
Both the mango powder exporting scheme and the hospitality staff training program are epitomizing Tanzania’s policy of engaging in international activities in order to promote commercial transport, tourism, and human resource development.
