The administration has announced that Thursday, August 15, 2024, is anticipated to be the blowing of the whistle for the local government elections of 2024.
The head of communications for the ministry says that Mr. Mohammed Mchengerwa, the Minister of State in the President’s Office Regional Administration and Local Governments, will make the announcement in the afternoon. Hosseah Nteghenjwa.
“This announcement will provide various details on how the elections will be conducted and the entire sequence of events,” she said.
e resolved are the rules governing the election of local leaders in hamlets and neighborhoods.
The local election regulations state that at least ninety days before to election day, the minister in charge of the elections must issue a notice of the polls in widely disseminated Kiswahili and English media.

The election will have no unopposed candidates, which is a welcome change from past elections, as acknowledged both political parties and the general population.
