Tanzania Coffee Board (TCB) has unveiled the coffee producers who will represent the nation at the upcoming African Fine Coffee Conference and Exhibition, set to take place from February 26 to 28, 2024, in Dar es Salaam. The event, organized by the African Fine Coffee Association (AFCA), will bring together participants from 55 coffee-producing nations across the continent.
During a weekend ceremony to honor the winners of the 2024 Fine Coffee Competition, TCB’s acting Director General, Kajiru Kisenge, applauded the efforts of local coffee farmers. “Today, we celebrate the outstanding work of our farmers and producers who have demonstrated dedication and innovation in delivering high-quality coffee,” he said.
He highlighted that the competition not only showcased Tanzania’s coffee quality but also positioned it for international recognition. “These events prepare our coffee for global competitions, enabling better access to international markets,” Kisenge added.

Chief Judge Grace Mukayisenga from Rwanda praised the diversity and quality of the coffee samples, which included robusta from Kagera and both natural and washed arabica from various regions in Tanzania.
Jasson Mpita, chairman of Ubumwe Ltd, expressed gratitude to TCB for its guidance, encouraging further support to ensure farmers benefit across the value chain. He emphasized the need to create favorable conditions for profitable coffee cultivation.
The February event aims to spotlight Tanzania’s coffee industry and strengthen its presence in international markets.
