The Africa Tech Summit Awards has announced the 2025 finalists.
The winners will be revealed at the ceremony on February 13th, which will take place in Nairobi, Kenya.
This summit will also bring together more than 200 industry leaders and over 1,000 companies, providing a platform for networking, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
The awards will be presented in 11 sector categories and 2 individual categories. After receiving more than 300 applications, 55 finalists have been selected.
An independent panel of judges evaluated all applications based on criteria such as innovation, impact, scalability, and alignment with the African market.
In the Agritech category, the finalists are Mazao AgClimate Limited (Tanzania), ChipChip (Ethiopia), AFEX (Nigeria), Winich Farms (Nigeria), and Keep it Cool (Kenya).
In the Climate Tech category, Instollar Technologies (Nigeria), Innovex (U) Ltd (Uganda), Afrilogic Solutions (Ghana), Sabi (Nigeria), and Takazuri (Kenya) have been selected.
The Artificial Intelligence category includes Chpter (Kenya), Cassava Technologies (South Africa), Tawi Fresh (Kenya), NextAV (Tunisia), and ToumAI Analytics (Morocco).
For the Cross Border Payments category, the finalists are Flutterwave (Nigeria), Aza Finance (Kenya), WeWire (Nigeria), Grey (Nigeria), and Yellow Card (South Africa).
In Digital Commerce, OmniRetail (Nigeria), Sendmercury (Nigeria), SwiftVEE (South Africa), Tawi Fresh (Kenya), and Tola (Ireland) have made it to the final stage.
The EdTech category features Cassava Technologies (South Africa), DirectEd Development (Kenya), Ikusasa Technology Solutions (South Africa), Hermplify (Nigeria), and Laboussole (Cameroon).
In the FemTech category, Mara Scientific (Uganda), Babysteps (Kenya), Sanicle Digital Health (United States), Hermplify (Nigeria), and My Pregnancy Journey (South Africa) are among the finalists.
The Enterprise category includes Andela (United States), Froid Energy Ltd (Kenya), Smile ID (Nigeria), Beacon Power Services (Nigeria), and Incentro Africa (Kenya).
The Fintech category will feature Yellow Card (South Africa), Valu (Egypt), Peach Payments (South Africa), HUB2 (Mauritius), and Flow (Uganda).
For the Web3 category, ICP Hub (Kenya), MiniPay (Nigeria), Investa Farm (Kenya), Sabi (Nigeria), and Yellow Card (South Africa) have been selected.
In Health Tech, the finalists are Antara Health (Kenya), ION Kenya (Kenya), Remedial Health (Nigeria), OneHealth (Nigeria), and Zuri Health (Kenya).
The winners will receive a physical Africa Tech Summit Award. This recognition will enhance networking opportunities and increase the potential to attract investors and business partners.
