Tunisia’s tourism sector generated revenue equivalent to 6,844 million dinars (€2.03 billion) by the end of November 2024, marking an increase of 433 million dinars compared to the same period in 2023, according to data from the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT).
The growth reflects continued recovery and expansion in the tourism industry, with the government projecting a total of 9.8 million tourist arrivals by the end of 2024, up from nearly 9.4 million in 2023.
The revenue figures, calculated based on an average exchange rate of 1 euro to 3.3715 dinars in the interbank market, highlight the sector’s role as a vital contributor to Tunisia’s economy.
This increase comes amid broader efforts to attract international visitors and strengthen Tunisia’s position as a key North African tourist destination.
