The Zimbabwe Accountants International (ZAI) has formed a strategic partnership with the UK-based risk solutions company, Diaspora Insurance, to provide financial security for over a thousand accounting professionals globally.
Founded in 2022, ZAI unites more than 1,200 members from various regions, including South Africa, Dubai, Australia, Canada, the USA, and the UK.
The organization creates “an inclusive space for Zimbabwean accountants to learn from each other, stay informed about industry trends, and access global opportunities in the accounting sector.”
This partnership with Diaspora Insurance allows ZAI members to access customized funeral insurance products, providing immediate financial relief during times of loss, rather than relying on loans or assistance from family and friends.
“The collaboration between ZAI and Diaspora Insurance is important as it gives members access to tailored insurance solutions, ensuring financial security for families abroad,” stated ZAI president Nico Chitsa.
“This partnership enhances the support network for the diaspora, addressing essential needs such as life insurance and repatriation.”
Edwin Tsvere, Channels Director at Diaspora Insurance, noted, “Having a professional group like ZAI partner with us instills confidence in our work at Diaspora Insurance.
“I encourage other like-minded or structured groups to follow ZAI’s example.
“In addition to providing ZAI members with the peace of mind they deserve, the partnership offers several benefits, including new revenue streams, discounted rates, financial risk transfer, increased member loyalty, appropriate coverage, and overall good value.”
Based in Birmingham, UK, Diaspora Insurance specializes in creating, marketing, and distributing insurance products and risk management solutions for expatriates and diaspora communities.
Registered with the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and a member of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), the company now offers its distinctive funeral cash plan and group schemes to 19 African nationalities living and working in developed markets across the UK, Australasia, the European Union, and North America.
