Zimbabwe and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have reaffirmed their commitment to bolstering trade and economic cooperation, building on a relationship that has seen significant growth in bilateral commerce.
Speaking during celebrations for the UAE’s 53rd National Day in Harare on Monday, UAE Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Dr. Jassim Al Quassimi, emphasized the importance of economic diplomacy and outlined plans to explore further collaboration, particularly in education. “We are committed to expanding our cooperation and building a brighter future for our people,” he said.
Zimbabwe’s Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister, Professor Amon Murwira, highlighted the strong political and diplomatic ties underpinning trade between the two nations. “We aim to enhance trade and finalize partnerships to further improve commerce between our countries,” he noted.
The UAE is Zimbabwe’s second-largest trading partner, with collaborations extending across trade, investment, education, culture, and tourism. Both nations expressed their dedication to continuing these efforts for mutual benefit.
